When Hydroponics was new to me, I ended up with miserable loss in terms of money, time and plants until I found out some rules and guidelines of general hydroponics growing that are essential to understand before you take up your venture with Hydroponics.
Michael Staumietis of Advanced Nutrients, writing in the July 18, 2008 edition of “American Chronicles” reports, the lignin in coco mats encourages beneficial bacteria in hydroponic systems and discourages harmful bacteria. He writes; “studies suggest that lignin helps suppress root rot diseases such as pythium and phytothora.”
For me Hydroponics is soilless agriculture. Plants grown in nutrient rich mediums with help of hydroponic specific systems and equipments. In short, its a no weed-no pests technique that promises a healthy plant growth within limited space.
